NOTICE: The FIT program is currently closed for applications as part of a revision process.
The revised FIT program is anticipated to re-open application submissions by fall 2017. AACH has just announced a new Relationship-Centered Communication Facilitators Program (RCF). As the pre-requisite track for individuals applying to the Faculty-in-Training (FIT) program in the future, the new RCF program will be open soon.
Imagine what you could do in your practice and teaching with your own personal coach!
The Faculty-in-Training (FIT) Program is designed to help you become an extraordinary clinician-educator and realize your full potential no matter what stage in your career. Our focus is teaching communication in healthcare between clinicians and patients, colleagues, other health professionals and between teachers and learners. The FIT program is a unique opportunity to participate in an intensive faculty development program combining the attributes of mentoring, personal self-awareness, self-directed learning and skill development paced to meet your unique needs. Training takes place in your home institution, at AACH-sponsored courses, and other faculty development venues. In addition to providing a venue for you to develop skills for teaching and facilitating learning at your home institution, the FIT Program also endeavors to train you to become a highly qualified facilitator for AACH regional, national, and institutional courses.
